Acupuncturists

wendy childs - acupuncturist

Wendy Childs, LAc.

Acupuncturist | Owner/Operator

Bio

As an acupuncture practitioner, Wendy believes that she is just the vehicle which helps your body gift healing to itself. All healing comes from within: and so, all she can do through the medium of acupuncture is remove those blocks to healing, helping you optimize your BodyMindSpirit’s healing potential.

Even though, as an acupuncturist, she is one, it has taken her years to allow the word ‘Healer,’ since she has always felt it puts the emphasis on the wrong person. Wendy holds that while, with acupuncture, she can be the catalyst, or tool, for helping you unlock your healing potential, she cannot do the healing for you. Ultimately, the power to heal is within you. Acupuncture merely provides the opportunity for growth.

Fun Fact

Wendy’s favorite word in any language is gratitude, a word which is a reminder for her of everything she has to be grateful for. And, for Wendy, everything means everything–even her losses and hard times, since those challenges created opportunities for her to grow. So, from clients to staff, Wendy thanks everyone who helps keep Earth Moon Acupuncture and Massage running, giving all of us an opportunity to grow by serving our community every day.

serena bordes acupuncturist

Serena Marie Bordes, LAc.

Acupuncturist | Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Bio

As an acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner, Serena uses her expertise in both acupuncture and Chinese Medical principles to guide her patients along their journeys towards health and wellness. That expertise is guided by the great compassion and empathy which she extends towards the people she sees–a compassion and empathy which helps her work in partnership with her patients in order to find the emotional component laying at the heart of their physcial, mental and spiritual disorders. Since, for Serena, it is only though finding, and clearing, that component that real healing can begin.

Fun Fact

Cats or Dogs…or Tortoises? Serena prefers dogs, which makes working at Earth-Moon great for her since she gets to play with all the dogs that come visit us here!

dianne weaver acupuncturist

Dianne Weaver, LAc.

Acupuncturist | Herbalist

Bio

As an acupuncturist and herbalist, Dianne believes that inside each of us is a well of Qi, or life force, that we draw from for health and healing. However, when our Qi becomes unbalanced, it ‘dries up’ and our wells become ‘cracked’ or ‘muddy.’ Replenishing this ‘well of Qi’ requires going on a journey that rebalances the life force which fills the well, a journey which Dianne assists her patients along everyday. Using gentle needling acupuncture, along with herbal preparations of Western, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbal traditions, Dianne helps her patients move towards wellness–physical, emotional, and spiritual–employing a proactive and preventative approach to achieve lasting health.

Fun Fact

If Dianne weren’t such a good acupuncturist, she’d probably still be practicing massage and acupressure full-time, which is actually where she began her career in the healing arts after graduating from East West College in Portland, OR, and then studying Jin Shin Do acupressure with Kamala Quale in Eugene, before moving on to study acupuncture at Southwest Acupuncture College in Sante Fe, NM.
